Walking Dead Noms pt3- Drink to the Ricktatorship!

So, I have posted a recipe for Stay in the House Carl cookies and some for zombie cupcakes, but what would a party be without some drinks? So here are three Walking Dead themed drink options for anyone hosting a party tonight or playing a drinking game during the premiere. (Here is my favorite drinking game for the show, even though I tend to just want to watch the show and not be bothered with remembering rules.)

Please drink responsibly, or if you are going to drink irresponsibly make sure you don’t text your ex, that you try not to fall on your face, always have someone on hand who will stop you from that really bad booty call, and if you are going to pressure wash anyone’s commode…make sure you buy them lunch sometime. It’s just polite. Oh and clean up after yourself.

Sadly, none of these drinks smoke like this cocktail, but come back next week for drinks that do! (photo by aoife mac)

Brain Hemorrhage (a shot)

  • Baileys Irish Cream
  • Grenadine
  • Sambuca

I’m Walking Dead (aka A Dead Zed)

  • 1 1/2 shot gold rum
  • some lime juice
  • 1 shot Jamaican dark rum
  • 1 shot white rum
  • pineapple juice
  • papaya juice
  • Splash of 151 proof rum
  • 1 pinch powdered sugar (no I don’t know why, just do it)

  • 1 part triple sec
  • 1 part  Bacardi 151
  • 1 part vodka
  • 1 part  gin
  • 1 part  tequila
  • 1 part  bourbon
  • 1 part  scotch
  • beer
  • stout

Mix the 5 whites and 2 whiskies in a big mug glass or whatever you want to drink out of. Top off the left over space with half beer and half stout. Let me just warn you this is a rough and tough drink, you will end up on your ass. This is not a drink for someone who doesn’t have a mutant liver.

Time: 5 mins, but could take longer as the night goes on and your vision blurs.

Difficulty: Well, are you the one drinking them?

Destructor rating: Supermeganormous High.

Seriously, joking aside please drink responsibly and know your limits. You don’t want to be the walking dead at work tomorrow.
